1. Identity of the owners

The website located at the URL https://www.flemishartinspain.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Website") has been made available to users by the entities (hereinafter referred to as the "Owners"):

The purpose of the Website is to make known to the public the works of Flemish art located in Spain and initiatives related to such works, as detailed in this legal information document.

To raise or resolve any incident or question that may arise regarding accessing and browsing the Website, or in relation to the contents and functionalities made available through the Website, the Owners provide the Users with the following means of direct and effective communication:

2. Subject matter and scope

This legal document regulates access to the functionalities and contents made available by the Owners on the Website. However, the Owners reserve the right to modify the layout, configuration, and content of the Website, as well as the conditions required for its access and/or use. The access and use of the contents and functionalities after the entry into force of the modifications or changes implies acceptance of the same.

3. Users, access, and use of the Website

Accessing, browsing, and viewing of the Website confers the condition of "User", who accepts, from the mentioned website, the terms of use applicable to the User in this document.

The Website contains information on works of Flemish art produced between the 15th and 18th centuries located in Spain or that were originally in Spain but for various reasons have left the Iberian Peninsula and are now abroad (hereinafter, the "Collection" or the "contents"), which the User may access. The User assumes responsibility for the use of the Website and to make the appropriate use of the contents and functionalities made available and, including but not limited to, not to use them for (i) engaging in activities that are illicit, illegal, or contrary to good faith and public order; (ii) causing damage to the physical and logical systems of the Owners, their suppliers or third parties, introducing or spreading computer viruses or any other physical or logical systems that are likely to cause the aforementioned damage.

4. Conditions for the processing of personal data on the Website and use of cookies

The Website uses cookies and similar information storage and retrieval technology (hereinafter, "Cookies"). A cookie is a file that is downloaded to the terminal (whether it is a computer, smartphone, or tablet) when someone visits a website and allows the owner of the website to store or retrieve certain information about multiple variables. Specifically:

• Session cookies necessary for the correct functioning of the site. They are installed in any case.

• Analytical cookies to obtain anonymous statistics, using Google Analytics technology. They can be rejected from the cookie notice at the bottom left of the screen.

The Owners, by themselves or as assignees, individually or jointly, are the owners of all intellectual and industrial property rights of the Website, as well as of the elements contained therein, including the Collection and the elements that constitute it.

The reproduction, distribution, and public communication, including making available, of all or part of the contents of this Website, for any purpose and by any technical means, including the training, development, testing, or validation of artificial intelligence models, automatic learning, or any other similar technology, without the prior authorisation of the Owners, are expressly prohibited.

The User shall refrain from deleting, altering, evading, or manipulating any protection device or security system installed on the Website for the protection of the intellectual property rights of the Owners.

6. Disclaimer of warranties and liability

The Owners cannot guarantee the reliability, usefulness or veracity of the functionalities, contents or information provided through the Website. Consequently, the Owners do not guarantee and are not responsible for: (i) the continuity of the contents of the Website; (ii) the absence of errors in said contents or products; (iii) the absence of viruses and/or other harmful components in the Website or in the server that provides it; (iv) the invulnerability of the Website and/or the impregnability of the security measures adopted therein; (v) the lack of usefulness or performance of the contents and products of the Website; (vi) the damage or harm caused, to themselves or to a third party, by any person who infringes the conditions, rules, and instructions established by the Owners on the Website or through the violation of the security systems of the Website.

Nevertheless, the Owners declare that they have adopted all the necessary measures, within their possibilities and the state of technology, to guarantee the functioning of the Website and to avoid the existence and transmission of viruses and other harmful components to Users.

If the User becomes aware of the existence of any content that is illicit, illegal, contrary to the law or that could involve an infringement of intellectual and/or industrial property rights, he/she must immediately notify the Owners so that they can proceed to adopt the appropriate measures.

In the event the Website contains links or hyperlinks to other Internet sites, the Owners shall not exercise any control over such sites and their contents.

Under no circumstances shall the Owners assume any responsibility for the contents of any link belonging to an external website, nor shall they guarantee the technical availability, quality, reliability, accuracy, comprehensiveness, veracity, validity and constitutionality of any material or information contained in any of these hyperlinks or other Internet sites.

Additionally, the inclusion of these external connections shall not imply any type of association, merger, or participation with the connected entities by the Owners, unless expressly stated otherwise.

7. Applicable law and jurisdiction

The relationship between the User and the Owners shall be governed by the Spanish legislation in force and any dispute shall be submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of Madrid, Spain.
