Biography
["Glazier. He was the glazier of the holy church [cathedral] of Cuenca for the years 1548 and 50. In the factory accounts there are dated entries in his favour for having painted new stained glass windows, and for having painted other old ones. And it is recorded that in 550 he put the large arch in the church, which goes to the cloister"] (Ceán Bermúdez, II, 1800, 193; VI, 1800, 172).
Possible identification with the figure of Gerrit Jansz van Wijtfelt, a native of Utrecht, who works in Grenada under the name of Giraldo Bilfet de Utrecht (Gómez Sánchez, 2010, p. 56) and of whom there is certain information in Osuna around 1555. (Diéguez-Rodríguez, 2019, p. 115).
