Founded in 1670 by María de Vera Gasca y Barco, widow of Juan González de Uzqueta y Valdés (1611-1670), who received the estate of Boadilla del Monte from his father José González de Uzqueta (1583-1668). The latter had bought the manor from Francisco Mª de Montserrat Manrique de Cárdenas y Arellano, sole heir of the V Duke of Maqueda, in turn brother of the IV Duke of Maqueda to whom Philip IV had granted the estate of Boadilla del Monte in 1626.
In the architectural ensemble of the convent stands out the church of silver Latin cross and austere brick facade of simple lines, typical of the Carmelite temples of the seventeenth century and the sober baroque of Madrid.
