The hôtel Potocki was built in Art Deco style by architect Jules Reboul for the Polish Count Mikołaj Szczęsny Potocki, of the Potocki family.
Countess Emanuela Potocka, a descendant of the Italian high nobility, born Princess Emanuela Pignatelli di Cerchiara (1852-1930) received in her salons famous members of the French high society of the fin de siècle, and artists especially linked to literature and music. There are testimonies of the attendance of Marcel Proust, Guy de Moupassant, Maurice Barrès, Paul Bourget, Robert de Montesquiou-Fézensac, Reynaldo Hahn, Charles-Mary Widor, among others.
In 1923, the hotel was acquired by the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris Ile-de-France.
In 2023, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that it would move to a new building by 2025.
